Pompey have unveiled New Zealand international forward Luke Brooke-Smith as their 6th summer signing.
The 18-year-old, who has joined from A-League outfit Wellington Phoenix, will link up with the Blues subject to registrations being confirmed by FIFA, The FA and the EFL.
He recorded 38 appearances for Wellington Phoenix and scored his first goal for them in an A-League meeting at Auckland.
Brooke-Smith is also an 8-time national age-group BMX champion and has already represented The Kiwis on the international stage, featuring at last year’s FIFA U20 World Cup.
He has also featured for the New Zealand senior side, making his debut against Oceanic rivals Australia in a friendly.
Head coach John Mousinho told the football club in a statement: "We’re delighted to strengthen our squad further with the addition of Luke.
“He’s a quick, direct and aggressive winger, who is comfortable on both sides of the pitch and has a lot of experience of senior football for his age.
“I’m looking forward to see him continue his impressive development here at Fratton Park over the next few years."
Luke Brooke-Smith signs a 4-year deal at Fratton Park, so is under contract until the summer of 2030.
Odin Bailey, Eoin Kenny, Rocco Shein and Marko Milovanović and Daniel Bielica are the other 5 players to have joined the Blues already this summer.
