27-year-old shotstopper Daniel Bielica arrives at Fratton Park on a 3-year deal.
An undisclosed fee brings the Polish player to the club from Dutch Eerste Divisie side NAC Breda.
Bielica came through the ranks of Górnik Zabrze, his hometown club, before making the switch to plying his trade in the Netherlands in the summer of 2024.
He made 65 top flight appearances across 2 campaigns with NAC Breda, who were relegated at the end of the 2025/26 season.
He stands at 6ft 3in tall.
John Mousinho told club officials: "We are thrilled to add more competition in our goalkeeping ranks with the capture of Daniel.
“He is a very experienced player with plenty of minutes at a high level of European football under his belt.
“Daniel joins Pompey following a strong season on a personal level in the Netherlands and provides us with another excellent option between the sticks."
Bielica joins Nicolas Schmid, Josef Bursik and Ben Killip as goalkeepers currently contracted at Portsmouth.
He becomes the fifth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Odin Bailey, Eoin Kenny, Rocco Shein and Marko Milovanović.
Jake Smith will be back with the first instalment of The Football Hour for the new season this coming Monday (July 27th) for further reaction to this, and all of the signings made by the Blues so far this transfer window!
