Taking place in Guildhall Square from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th July 2026, these special open-air concerts celebrate 100 years of Portsmouth’s city status with unforgettable performances under the summer sky.
On Friday 17th July, experience The Best of Williams & Zimmer as the full Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra performs legendary film scores from Hollywood giants John Williams and Hans Zimmer. From Star Wars and Harry Potter to Gladiator and Interstellar, it’s an epic evening of cinematic music.
On Saturday 18th July, it’s time to party with Smash Hits - The 80s! Relive the decade of big hair, bold fashion and unforgettable anthems as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra performs hits from Madonna, George Michael, David Bowie, Elton John, Bonnie Tyler, A-ha and many more.
Then on Sunday 19th July, Pompey Summer Sounds brings the weekend to a close with a celebration of homegrown talent, featuring a fantastic line-up of live bands and artists, headlined by Oasis tribute favourites Supersonics. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a summer afternoon of live music in the heart of the city.
