Andy & Lauren from the cast of Calendar Girls joined Brendan McCarthy to discuss their upcoming production of Calendar Girls.
Many may already be familiar with the “heartfelt” true story of Calendar Girls following the 2003 film of the same name, which then inspired the stage version.
It follows Annie, whose husband John dies of leukaemia prompting her and her best
friend Chris to persuade their fellow members of the local Women’s Institute to
produce a charity calendar with a daring twist. Instead of flowers and landscapes,
the ladies themselves will feature, tastefully posing nude behind teapots, buns and
knitting.
Calendar Girls is on at The Spring Art & Heritage Centre in Havant from Thursday 23rd April.
