Winger Harry Clout will play National League South football until at least January.
The 18-year-old, who turns 19 on August 30th, signed his first professional contract with Portsmouth this summer but will gain experience away from Fratton Park for at least half the season.
Clout has joined National League South outfit Farnborough on loan until January.
He actually scored against his new side a few weeks back, notching the second of Pompey's 5 in a pre-season victory for John Mousinho's side at Cherrywood Road.
Speaking about the loan move, the gaffer said: "Harry has been with us for the entire pre-season period and impressed everyone with both his talent and attitude.
"The next step for him after shining in academy football is to try to get as many minutes as he can in the men's game.
"We believe that Farnborough will provide a good setting to do just that and we will be watching Harry's progress with interest."
