Portsmouth and Hampshire Art Society – Summer exhibition

This year we have had a record breaking 622 pieces of art work from 96 different artists, both professional and amateur, with work coming from all over Hampshire and even as far afield as France.
This prestigious annual art exhibition showcases work from local artists, in the beautiful setting of Portsmouth Cathedral. It runs from 22nd to 30th August 2026.
It’s free entry, so why not come along and view exciting artwork for sale, from local artists and see the diverse styles and techniques of talented artists in your community.
Jane Pooley the new chair of the Portsmouth and Hampshire Art Society is “absolutely thrilled with the number of entries, especially since moving to an online application process, we were a little worried it might put some of our members off and we have had the expected glitches, as it’s been a huge learning process, but the members have embraced the new application process and we have lots of entries from new artists.

This year have also seen an increase in our junior members applying and we encourage youngsters to join in.
