Ty Myers on Ranch Life, TikTok Success & Looking Ahead to C2C
On this episode of The MarshyCast, I’m joined by one of country music’s most exciting young artists, Ty Myers, recorded just before he travelled to the UK for the Country to Country Festival.
Ty grew up on a ranch in Texas, and he shares how that upbringing shaped his music and storytelling. We also talk about the difference between life in Texas and visiting the UK — particularly when it comes to the weather.
The conversation turns to his rapid rise through social media, with TikTok playing a huge role in helping his music reach a global audience almost overnight.
Ty also explains how he wrote much of his debut album The Select himself, the creative process behind his songwriting, and how the next album is starting to take shape.
Despite his young age, Ty describes himself as an “old soul”, blending traditional influences with the modern music world he’s now part of.
We also look ahead to performing at C2C, supporting Luke Combs and the prospect of playing stadiums in the future.
