Portsmouth Pride announce a new date and a new location

The Portsmouth Pride Committee have announced the official date and location for Portsmouth Pride’s main event in 2019.

They released a statement about this years event. "On Saturday 22nd June, we will be celebrating the diversity and equality in this great city by holding our annual Portsmouth Pride event, which this year will be located at Castle Field in Southsea. Since last year’s success at the bandstand, Portsmouth Pride has been able to grow in size due to the overwhelming support from the Portsmouth community."

This year tickets will be free for all and will include a day of live music, national and local drag queens, burlesque, cabaret and DJs, alongside information stalls from local and national charities and local businesses.

Marketing Officer Matthew Hill said that “We are delighted to announce the pride event in 2019, which celebrates the diversity within this great city regardless of age, ethnicities, sexual orientation, gender, religion and disability and we want to invite as many people from Portsmouth and its surrounding areas down for the parade and main event to enjoy a day of entertainment in the sun on Castle Field”.
