Blues shot-stopper Toby Steward has linked up with Scottish Championship side St Johnstone on loan for the 2025/26 season.

The 20-year-old moves out on loan for a 7th time having previously enjoyed spells at Bognor Regis Town, Salisbury, Gosport Borough, Tonbridge Angels, Wealdstone and Crawley Town.

Pompey boss John Mousinho had this to say about the academy graduate when speaking with club media: “He is someone with so much potential and we’ve been impressed with his development over the past few years, so are excited to see what he can achieve during the forthcoming season.“

St Johnstone play Falkirk in a friendly this evening (July 8th) and Steward is eligible to make his debut if selected.

The Perth-based outfit are aiming for an immediate return to the Scottish Premiership in 2025/26 after suffering relegation last term.
