Pompey sign James Vaughan on loan for the season

Source: Portsmouth Football Club

It's been rumoured all day, but on Transfer Deadline Day, it has been confirmed the Wigan forward will be joining the blue army.

Vaughan, who holds the record for the youngest Premier League scorer, says he "cannot wait to get going" after joining Portsmouth for the remainder of the season.

This addition to the squad brings yet another striker to strengthen the front line and he seems confident he can help the squad in their aspirations of automatic promotion.

He spoke to Pompey Live's Jake Smith about his arrival at Fratton Park.
