🎙️ It’s time for an early… or late… episode of The MarshyCast — depending on how you look at it!
I’ve been battling a chest infection these last couple of weeks (my poor, tired body has decided to start its retirement early), which means a few interviews that should have gone out on air didn’t quite make it. But YOU shouldn’t suffer just because I’ve been coughing like a 90-year-old chimney sweep — so here we are with Episode 99 of The MarshyCast!
…and buckle up, because Episode 100 — with one of my favourite guests EVER — is landing in just a few days 👀🔥
But first, this week’s very busy episode:
🩸 Mercedes Bryce Morgan – Director of Bone Lake
We get into that opening scene (the one that’ll make you physically wince), the double twist lurking in the story, and the glorious chaos of blood and gore that makes the film a wild ride. Mercedes also talks about the shoot, the on-set challenges, and which classic films influenced Bone Lake’s tone, terror, and teeth.
🏰 Angus Ashworth – Yorkshire Heritage Hero
We talk about the jaw-dropping homes featured in the new series, the delicate divide between the “haves” and “have-nots,” and the daily struggle to keep stately homes standing. Angus also shares some of the strangest finds he’s come across, why dead animals are apparently back in fashion, and what it’s like to step into a house containing an (alleged) actual dead body.
⚔️ Bruce Crompton & Ed Sayer – Battle Treasures
These two dive into the world of military relics: the rarest finds, the most surprising discoveries, and the pieces that tell the biggest stories. I asked the all-important question — if your collection was on fire, which single item would you save? — and we talk about what they hope viewers take away from the series.
🎶 Skinny Lister – Folk-Punk Favourites
We chat about the band’s new single, their upcoming album, and what fans can expect from the tour. I also get into life on the road, the band’s glorious chaos, and — of course — who the biggest troublemaker is.
Thank you for listening — whether you're brand new to my world or an OG MarshyCast loyalist, you all matter just the same. 💙
Keep your eyes and ears open… Episode 100 is coming, and trust me, you’ll want to be here for it.
As always: thank you for the love, thank you for the support, and thank you for being part of this brilliantly bonkers journey. 🎧✨
