It’s time for another episode of The MarshyCast!
Ahead of the bank holiday weekend, there’s plenty of time to soak up these brilliant interviews—whether you’re relaxing at home, out and about, or stuck in traffic on the way to your long weekend plans.
As always, if you can’t get enough, you can catch me live on weekdays on Express FM and HGV1 Radio, and don’t forget to check out my other podcasts: Portsmouth People on Express FM for local interviews, and my show with Casey Major Bunce aka Major Mum Hacks. Plus, follow me on socials for even more content, behind-the-scenes bits, and the occasional photo of what I’m up to!
On this week’s podcast:
🎭 Comedian and actor Omid Djalili is currently touring the UK with his show Namaste. We spoke about why everyone needs a good rant now and then, how a joke about a female pope has racked up over 14 million views, appearing in Ed Sheeran’s Azizam video, his first day on the set of The Mummy, and his latest film Deep Cover.
🎬 Actor Taz Skylar joined me to chat about his new film Cleaner, directed by Martin Campbell and starring Daisy Ridley and Clive Owen. I asked Taz what it was like playing the bad guy, whether they really were suspended outside a skyscraper, and what it was like working alongside such a top-notch director and cast.
📞 Broadcasting legend Moira Stuart stopped by to talk about BT’s big switch from analogue to digital phones, why we shouldn’t fear change, how this move will help stop scammers, and even her own personal experience with phone scams.
💬 TV presenter Cherry Healey opened up about why we should all be more open when talking about the menopause—why it needs to be part of conversations in relationships and families, how many couples may have struggled or even split because of it, and what we can do to make sure it’s no longer a taboo subject.
Thank you, as always, for reading and listening—you must be the kind of person who stays right until the post-credit scenes in a Marvel movie… and I salute you. Until next time!
