Dutch top flight side PEC Zwolle will visit Fratton Park for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday the 2nd of August.
Blauwvingers (Bluefingers) finished 10th last season and will be led in 2025/26 by their former midfielder Henry van der Vegt.
This will serve as the first foreign opposition Portsmouth have faced since a 1-1 draw with FC Utrecht at Fratton Park in pre-season 2018.
Zwolle is a city in the Netherlands within the province of Overijssel, boating a population of over 129,000 as per the last census taken 4 years ago.
The 2 sides have never met before so there is no prior record heading into this fixture on the South Coast.
John Mousinho’s will lead his men about against the Dutch outfit exactly a week before their first Championship outing of the new season, which sees them travel to the Kassam Stadium to take on Oxford United on August 9th.
This will be the Blues’ 6th and final pre-season test ahead of the new campaign and, at the time of writing, serves as only Zwolle’s 3rd - They are scheduled to host Spanish side Rayo Vallecano and Scottish team Dundee United before flying over to England.
For Portsmouth, they kickstart preparations for the new campaign with a trip to Woking on Tuesday the 15th of July. After that, they travel to Farnborough (July 16th), Crawley Town (July 19th), Reading (July 26th) and Havant & Waterlooville (July 29th).
A Pompey XI will also be pitting themselves against Moneyfields at the John Jenkins Stadium on Saturday the 19th of July, the same day Mousinho is expected to take a stronger squad to Crawley.
