Defender Ibane Bowat has signed for League One side Huddersfield Town for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old joined the Blues from Fulham in the summer of 2024 and made just 18 appearances across 2 seasons on the South Coast.
Bowat scored 2 goals for Portsmouth and both came at Fratton Park - 1 against Blackburn Rovers in December 2026 and 1 against Leicester City this April.
Speaking about the move, Pompey boss John Mousinho said in an official club statement: “We would like to thank Ibane for his efforts in a Pompey shirt and wish him well for the next stage of his career.
“After suffering a serious injury shortly after joining the club, he fought back well and played a crucial role in our Championship survival last term.
“But we did not want to stand in his way of hopefully getting more minutes at a strong League One side and I’m sure he will do a good job at Huddersfield.”
Terriers head coach Martin Drury told Huddersfield Town’s media team: “Ibane is a positive addition to our squad. He’s a good age and has been at clubs with a reputation for developing talent.
“He will provide us with something different within our defensive options, has attributes that make us stronger from set plays and it was clear in every conversation about his desire to improve and further his own career."
