Portsmouth defender Hayden Matthews has joined League One side Bradford City on loan for the remainder of the 2026/27 campaign.
The 22-year-old will be hoping to make an impact with The Bantams after managing just 20 appearances for the Blues during an injury-hit period since his transfer from Sydney FC in January 2025.
Talking to Bradford City's media team, Matthews said: "I am delighted to be here. It is a massive club, and I cannot wait to get out there and play in front of the supporters.
"I had a good conversation with the manager (Graham Alexander), and he convinced me of the way he wants to play. I think it really suits how I want to play my football, with high energy and pressing high."
Expected to return to Fratton Park in the summer of 2027, Matthews is still contracted to Pompey until the summer of 2029.
