Long-serving football shows will return to the airwaves next week!
Express FM can today confirm that the station will continue to provide full coverage of Portsmouth Football Club, continuing into the forthcoming 2026/27 season and re-starting with the return of The Football Hour on Monday the 27th of July.
Jake Smith will be back in the hotseat for a 9th season and joined alongside 2 Blues fans from 6pm on Monday night to discuss all of the lates Blues news, including summer transfer activity, pre-season results and also England's FIFA World Cup campaign.
The Football Hour will reclaim its 6-7pm slot every Monday and Friday up until the end of May 2027 to serve Pompey fans with honest, passionate reaction to each and every Championship, Carabao Cup and FA Cup fixture, as well as discussion about Portsmouth Women's forthcoming quest for success in the FA Women's National League - Southern Premier Division.
Each episode of the show will continue to be uploaded as a podcast to listen back to on the Express FM website, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Spotify immediately after the conclusion of the live broadcast.
More information regarding the return of Pompey Live for the new season will be announced in due course, including the reveal of 2 new permanent fixtures to the matchday panel!
We are, however pleased to be able to confirm that the station's long-standing matchday coverage show will be returning on Saturday, August 8th with full pre-match build-up, half-time analysis and reaction to Portsmouth's Carabao Cup meeting with West Ham United at the London Stadium.
