Prostate Cancer awareness event at The Lens, Portsmouth Guildhall, Friday 11 September

Friday, 11 September 2026

Time
18:00 - 22:00
Price
£19.35 (£16 + booking fees)

I have taken up an opportunity to put on a show at The Lens, Portsmouth Guildhall to continue to raise awareness for men regarding prostate cancer. Ken Ebbens

More Information (Portsmouth's Express FM is not responsible for external websites)

Prostate cancer is currently affecting 1:8 of all men in the UK, most prevalent for those over age 50. If you are black, or if your dad or brother have had it, you are at even higher risk. The earlier you find prostate cancer, the easier it is to treat; however, most men with early prostate cancer do not have symptoms.

On 11 September, the country’s foremost tribute band (Maximum Who) for The Who, will be headlining along with local artists LouLu V, The Prostate Gland Band and Fine Voice Chorus.

All proceeds will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK to enable them to be there for even more men, and their friends and families; the event will help to raise awareness, fund ground-breaking research and vital support services for the fathers, brothers, sons, and mates navigating prostate cancer.

Tickets are £19.35 (£16 + booking fees), and can be bought via www.portsmouthguildhall.org.uk/whats-on/event/maximum-who-2/

Help me to help men to be just that little safer; it will be great if you and family/friend can come along to enjoy some excellent music, and get some excellent information and leaflets; it is fact that men are more likely to take action about their health if they receive information from people they know and trust.
