About Caroline
Caroline is a journalist, writer and storyteller at Pompey Poetry Party. Caroline is passionate about sharing the magic of poetry and it's power to transform, uplift and inspire.
Favourite Song - Born to Die by Lana Del Rey. Gorgeously sultry and vulnerable with a dark cinematic tone. I love its strong sense of fatalism and resignation. Melancholy at its very best. Lana is a superb poet too!
Favourite Gig - When Green Day headlined at the British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park in 2017. It was an insanely high energy performance and showcased Billie Joe Armstrong at his finest.
Favourite Film - I tell everyone it's Gone with the Wind - but really it's Terrifier 2.
Favourite Place in Portsmouth - Portsdown Hill. It's stunning views, wildlife and natural beauty make it a hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I do a great deal of writing there in the summer months.
