🎙️ The MarshyCast is back!
Hello! Hola! Bonjour! Guten Tag! However you say it — welcome back to another episode of The MarshyCast. Summer brings changes: tours turn into festivals, football winds down, and everything takes a little breather. But while the podcast might occasionally pause, the radio shows never do! You’ll still find me on Express FM at 10am and HGV1 Radio at 4pm, chatting to brilliant guests, playing top tunes, and getting stuck into games, stories and nonsense. You can also catch my Portsmouth-based interviews on the Portsmouth People podcast. Now… let’s dive in.
⚽ Former Manchester United and Bournemouth midfielder Russell Beardsmore joined me ahead of a special charity match — Premier League Legends vs Pompey Legends — in support of Sophie’s Legacy. We spoke about playing under Sir Alex Ferguson, the rise of Bournemouth, and which players still secretly have it (even if their knees don’t).
🧪 TV’s favourite gastronaught Stefan Gates dropped in to chat about his brilliantly bonkers Rude Science tour. We talked fart facts, educational explosions, and why getting a little gross can actually help kids learn the really important stuff.
🎸 Billy Gregory from local rising stars Crystal Tides told me all about their cinematic new single Movies, their massive sold-out Guildhall show, and how it felt to headline in their hometown. They’re skipping Victorious Festival this year — but don’t worry, they’re hitting plenty of stages elsewhere.
🎧 Thanks as ever for listening, liking and sharing. There are loads more great guests coming soon on The MarshyCast — but if you’re impatient, just flick on the radio. You know where I am. And hey, we both know I’m the best interviewer around… now let’s just tell the rest of the world.
