It’s that time again — The MarshyCast is here to tickle your ears and flex those brain muscles! As always, don’t forget you can catch me on Express FM and HGV1 Radio throughout the week, as well as my other podcasts including Portsmouth People and Casey Major Bunce aka Major Mum Hacks. Plus, I’m all over social media like a strong cup of tea on a drizzly British morning — follow me for extra content, behind-the-scenes bits, and the occasional moan about modern life.

Now, onto this week’s star-studded line-up:

🎤 Comedian & Actor Rhys Darby joins us as he tours the UK for the first time in a decade! We chat about the move from New Zealand to LA, parenting adult kids, how Brits, Kiwis and Americans speak very different versions of English, and what fans can expect from his stand-up. And yes, I had to ask him about Jumanji — fans, get excited.

Dean Windass, former Premier League striker, talks about his upcoming charity match supporting Sophie’s Legacy, his personal connection to the cause, and why these games mean so much. He also opens up about his dementia diagnosis, shares stories from his playing days, and what it’s like when your team talk happens… right on the pitch!

🔥 Matthew Hoggard MBE might be known for his cricket, but he’s also mad about BBQs. We discussed his perfect summer spread, wine pairings, BBQ dos and don’ts, and whether a fancy grill really beats a trusty old one. I also got his take on England’s current cricket set-up and young star Jacob Bethell.

🇩🇪 Finally, Henning Wehn tells us why he nearly moved to Portsmouth, his fondness for the South Coast, and his favourite football fan. We also chat about his new comedy tour centred around climate change, opinions (even the wrong ones), and his signature satirical take on British life.

Thanks for reading — and if you’ve made it to the end, you officially have the patience of a saint and the stamina of a Tour de France cyclist. Like, share, subscribe and follow — it helps me sleep at night. Just don’t follow me in real life. That’s weird.
