Former Lincoln boss Michael Skubala is now in charge of The Robins following the departure of interim boss Roy Hodgson at the end of last season.

Skubala led The Imps to the League One title last term before making the switch to Bristol City in May after weeks of speculation around who would take the vacant role at BS3, with the club also reportedly listing Portsmouth’s own John Mousinho as a candidate.

Signing on a 4-year-deal in the summer, striker Laurent Tolaj is a player who could make an impact this weekend.

The 24-year-old Swiss forward joined The Robins from Plymouth Argyle after scoring 18 goals in 33 League One appearances for The Pilgrims.

He wears the number 9 shirt.

Bristol City have scored 2 goals this season and they both came at the weekend, with both Scott Twine and Dom Ballard on the scoresheet away from home.

Twine is a 27-year-old midfielder who operates dangerously going forward and is known to hit a free kick pretty well while Ballard is just 21 and joined the side this summer from Leyton Orient - He scored 23 goals in 40 third tier games for The O’s, enough to make him the division’s top goalscorer.

Bristol City are yet to win a game so far this campaign, losing their Championship opener 2-0 to Millwall on home turf before twice surrendering a lead at Birmingham on Saturday to draw 2-all.

Prior to the league season kicking off, Michael Skubala’s side were shocked in the First Round of the Carabao Cup, losing 1-0 to League Two outfit Walsall.

Last term, The Robins finished 12th in the Championship on 62 points and beat Pompey home and away.
