Portsmouth's 2026/27 Fixtures Announced

The matches for the upcoming Championship campaign have now been provisionally pencilled in but the dates remain subject to change for TV broadcast selection.

Pompey will kickstart the 2026/27 campaign with a Carabao Cup First Round tie against West Ham United at the London Stadium on the weekend of August 7th-9th.

They will then begin their third successive season back in the Championship at Fratton Park, where they'll host Queens Park Rangers on Saturday the 15th of August.

John Mousinho's first league away match of the new term will be held at Sincil Bank, home of Lincoln City, on Saturday the 22nd of August.

As is customary, the Blues will be away on the same weekend as Victorious Festival, which takes place this year between August 28th-30th. On the Saturday (29th), Bristol City will serve as the opposition at Ashton Gate for a 3pm kick-off.

Following their removal from the Championship Play-Offs back in May, Southampton will once again be an opponent for Portsmouth next season. The 2 South Coast Derby fixtures have been pencilled in for Saturday the 10th of October (AWAY at St Mary's) and Saturday the 27th of February (HOME at Fratton Park), however these are likely to be moved to the Sundays of those respective weekends on account of TV broadcast picks and local police intervention.

Over the festive period, Pompey have been served 3 fixtures on the road and just 1 on home soil. On Saturday the 19th of December, the final matchday before Christmas, they will travel to the Riverside Stadium to take on Middlesbrough. This will be the team's longest away game of the season.

Then on Boxing Day, the Blues will be back in PO4 for a second successive campaign, however this time playing host to Watford. The fixture between Christmas and New Year on Tuesday the 29th of December will see Portsmouth travel to Millwall and then on New Year's Day (January 1st), they will take on Birmingham City at St Andrew's.

Owing to a change in format to the international breaks in 2026/27, there will be no club football taking place across England's top 2 tiers over the Easter Weekend, interfering with a long-standing football tradition of having 1 match at home and 1 away on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Fast forwarding to the end of the season we come to Pompey's final 2 games - The penultimate match, and final home fixture of the campaign, sees Preston North End come to the South Coast on Saturday the 24th of April. A week later on Saturday the 1st of May, a mouthwatering encounter awaits at the London Stadium on the final day of the 2026/27 Championship season - West Ham United vs Portsmouth (12:30pm kick-off).
