Mousinho & Robertson Look Ahead To Charlton

On Thursday afternoon, Matt Drabble sat down with head coach John Mousinho and midfielder Alex Robertson to preview Saturday's League One encounter with Charlton Athletic.

On Saturday afternoon, Pompey host Charlton Athletic for a League One fixture at Fratton Park and ahead of the game, we sent Matt Drabble to the training ground to gather some post-match thoughts.

This will be Portsmouth's 16th league match of the 2023/24 season - They still occupy top spot in League One and remain unbeaten since the start of the campaign.

The last time John Mousinho's side tasted defeat in the league was March the 11th, when Sheffield Wednesday ran out 1-0 winners at PO4. Since then, 26 league games have passed without Pompey suffering a league loss.

Tomorrow, however, Charlton Athletic make the short trip down from South London - They're a side who have won each of their last 7 competitive visits to Fratton Park (9 if you include friendlies).

The Blues head into this meeting off the back of an EFL Trophy win over Leyton Orient in midweek, a result which secured their progression to the knockout stages of the competition.

Matt Drabble caught up with Blues boss John Mousinho, first asking what role the EFL Trophy has to play for his side this season, with promotion from League One an obvious priority...

Alex Robertson was also pulled aside by Matt on Thursday afternoon and, having now spent a few months at Fratton Park since signing on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City, the midfielder spoke about how he's settling in on the South Coast...
