Portsmouth have this morning completed the signing of Australian striker Kusini Yengi.

The 24-year-old forward has touched down at Fratton Park, signing a 2-year deal with the club. There is also an option for a further 12 months should both player and club seek to exercise the extension in 2025.

Yengi, who comes in on an undisclosed fee from A-League outfit Western Sydney Wanderers, becomes John Mousinho's 9th summer signing.

Pompey's head coach was quoted in saying: "He's a really quick, powerful and physical centre-forward, who can run in behind and is also very technical.

"We've done extensive work over the past few months and looking at what the opportunities were in the A-League.

"Kusini was one who really stood out. He's an exciting prospect and we're delighted to bring him to the club.

"On his day he's got a bit of everything and we want to see him perform consistently. If he does that, then we believe he can be successful over here."

Kusini's younger brother, Tete, is already plying his trade in England - He represents Ipswich Town.
