2025/26 Championship Lineup Finalised

We now know all 23 teams Pompey will be competing against in the second tier of English football next season.

The South Coast Derby will return in 2025/26 following Southampton's relegation from the Premier League with 7 games to spare. The last time the Blues faced their bitter rivals in a league fixture was on the 7th April, 2012, when David Norris served up the perfect cocktail to equalise in injury time at St Mary's.

Leicester City and Ipswich Town also drop down from the top flight having only been promoted last year.

Following defeat to Sunderland at Wembley on Saturday, Sheffield United will embark on a second consecutive Championship campaign and will be joined in the division by Coventry City and Bristol City, who also fell short in the Play-Offs.

Cardiff City, Plymouth Argyle and Luton Town were relegated from the Championship in 2024/25 and will be replaced by Birmingham City, Wrexham and Charlton Athletic, who come up from League One.
