25-year-old forward Millenic Alli joins Portsmouth on loan until the end of the campaign.
The Irishman can play up front or on either wing and arrives at Fratton Park on loan from League One outfit Luton Town.
Alli has not been favoured at Kenilworth Road since the arrival of new boss Jack Wilshere and will be hoping to reignite his career away from The Hatters.
Speaking about Alli's arrival with the Pompey media team, John Mousinho said: "He's someone that we've admired for a while and we're delighted to bring him to the club.
"He impressed for Exeter before joining Luton, where he was a shining light during what was a difficult back end to last season.
"We've brought in a player who has experience of Championship football and is comfortable on either flank, as well as centrally.
"He's an explosive winger and we feel very positive about him being the first player through the door here this month."
The wide man came through the ranks at Bury before truly making a name for himself in non-league with the likes of Padiham, South Shields, Workington, Ashton United, Stockport County, Chorley and Halifax.
Alli will be available for selection this Saturday when the Blues take on Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
