The Last Dance with Ian James

The Last Dance is the perfect way to bring your weekend to a close and ease you towards a Monday morning and your new working week. Ian James presents two hours of classic love songs mixed in with your requests and dedications to give you the perfect setting to cuddle up with someone special for some Sunday night seduction...

The show also includes two regular features; a featured artist (as chosen by you), the Lyric Line, asking you to name the artist and the title of the song the lyric comes from.

If you would like to suggest a featured artist, would like to make a request or send a dedication to someone special or to tell someone how much you love them, then please contact Ian below.

About Ian

With 37 years as a professional DJ, compere' and presenter, Ian has had a career playing music and meeting many interesting people. Oh and a few not so interesting. Away from work, Ian loves spending quality time with my wife Jackie, my son Henry, daughter Melissa and some very good friends.

Favourite Song - I am partial to the music of Alexander O'Neal, George Benson and the late Luther Vandross. If I have to come up with just one song then it would have to be 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing' by Aerosmith as this is the song that reminds me of the birth of both my son and daughter and reminds me how lucky I am to be a Dad...

Favourite Gig - I would have to say my favorite gig has to be the singer song writer Paul Carrack. I've worked with Paul a couple of times and each time he just delivers an outstanding performance, apart from being an extremely talented artist he is also one of the worlds Mr Nice Guys.

Favourite Film - The Greatest Showman. It's just one of those film I can watch time and time again.

Favourite Place in Portsmouth - There's nothing like a nice walk along Southsea Seafront on a lovely summers day with the family.
