Chris Perry

Chris Perry has been presenting since March 2007 and was awarded 'Best Specialist Speech Based Programme' in 2008 and again in 2011.

Each week he takes a different topic for in depth consideration. These have included pensions, age discrimination, long term care, transport, new technology, holidays, post office counters, active retirement, the economic crisis, fear of crime, rogue traders, carers, legal aid, social isolation, disability, pets in residential care, hearing loss, climate change and the organisation of health and social services amongst others.

He has had seven Government Ministers and several Shadow Ministers amongst his guests, together with Chief Executives of national voluntary organisations, Leaders, Chairs, Executive Members and Directors from local statutory bodies, celebrities, and people who have experience of the issues under consideration.

He has on-going campaigns for pensions, pensioner poverty, age discrimination – with several stories going national and creating case law through the courts - and long term care. He also presents an award for the outstanding achievement of the year by an older person from Portsmouth and South East Hampshire and gives biographical details of artists, concert dates and show reviews – sometimes interviewing the artists themselves.

Tune in every Sunday morning at 9 am.
