20 year old Anton Walkes has joined Portsmouth Football Club on loan from Tottenham for the end of the season. Walkes is a graduate of Tottenham’s academy, who made his senior debut from the bench in a League Cup victory over Gillingham in September 2016 he also played for Major League Soccer side Atlanta United during the 2017 campaign. When talking to Niall McCaughn, he spoke about using this as an opportunity to prove himself.
In the clubs official statement of the signing Kenny Jackett said "He’s someone I have a lot of time for and think he’s got a very bright future." The Pompey boss also spoke about how the club need to improve their central midfield options due to recent injuries and suspensions.
