DarkFest 2019 are delighted to present a panel discussion on what makes a spine-chilling Gothic story. Come and join an exciting panel of distinguished fiction writers as they conduct an autopsy on how to write a gripping story, how Gothic fiction works, how it has changed over time, and why we seem to be endlessly fascinated by tales of the supernatural and the macabre. This is an invaluable opportunity to learn from expert storytellers and masters of their craft. There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.
Our Gothic fiction panellists are all award-nominated or award-winning authors:
Tracy Fahey, author of The Unheimlich Manoeuvre and New Music for Old Rituals
Victoria Leslie, author of Bodies of Water and Skein and Bone
Anna Mazzola, author of The Unseeing and The Storykeeper
Catriona Ward, author of Rawblood and Little Eve
