Hello, I’m Julie Lorraine, the host of the Volunteering Show, that airs monthly on a Tuesday evening at 7pm.

Welcome to the Volunteering Show webpage. Our aim is to inspire you to get involved in your community by sharing some of your free time with a charity or organizations that you are passionate about.

Each month the show focuses on different charities and organizations that are looking for people to get involved they range from getting young children involved in reading to helping our senior citizens and disabled veterans, and everything in between. There are many way you can get involved with these charities and help improve people’s lives.

There are a plethora of charities and organizations that need volunteers. Nevertheless you may not know what section of the community you would like to get involved with, how to get involved or even what you could do.If this is the case, this is the show for you.

Tune in to here from the people who are already involved with specific charities or organizations and find out what inspired them to volunteer and get involved with that particular association. Hear what they get up to, what they need, what fundraising events or awareness campaigns they have organized or need help in organizing and how you can get in touch with them.

The great thing about volunteering in your community is that everyone can get involved: young or old, students, retired, employed or un-employed. Everyone can contribute – it takes no special skills to be a volunteer.In fact for students or anyone who is un-employed this is a great opportunity to improve your skills and even find employment prospects through networking with other members of the community.
